Before Poland‘s entry into the EU, restructuring and privatisation lead to negative developments in the Polish employment market. In order to counter these, bit carried out two PHARE projects in the Opole region together with regional partners.
Project targets:
- Execution of active employment market measures for the unemployed and those threatened with unemployment: Occupational guidance, interview training, professional continuing education and training, on-the-job training.
- Company founding consultation
- Qualification of companies and employees
- Establishment of local employment partnerships
Project results:
- More than 2,800 unemployed and persons threatened with unemployment were trained
- More than 440 company startups were supported
- Over 300 entrepreneurs and employees received qualifications
- 50 representatives of local civil authorities and 40 occupational counselors received coaching
The first project started in October 2003 and the second ended in November 2005. |
